RIGA, June 27 (LETA) - The bed occupancy rate at Riga hotels in April of this year was 49.7 percent, which is 1.6 percentage points lower than in April of last year, when the occupancy rate was 51.3 percent, according to data released by the Central Statistical Bureau.

In Latvia as a whole, bed occupancy in April 2026 was 37.2 percent, compared to 37.9 percent in April of last year.

At the same time, room occupancy in Riga hotels in April of this year was 53.2 percent, while in Latvia it was 41.6 percent; in April 2025, room occupancy in Riga’s hotels was 53.3 percent, and in Latvia it was 41.2 percent.

In 2025, the highest bed occupancy rate in Riga’s hotels was in August, followed by July and June - 69.5 percent, 68.8 percent, and 60.2 percent, respectively, while in Latvia, the highest bed occupancy rate was in July, followed by August and June - 59.7 percent, 58.2 percent, and 47.6 percent, respectively.
